With the increasing popularity of electronic sphygmomanometers, everyone can measure their blood pressure at home. The hypertension management guidelines also recommend that patients measure their blood pressure at home to better manage their blood pressure. To measure blood pressure accurately, pay attention to the following points:
①Do not measure blood pressure through thick clothes, remember to take off your coat before measuring
②Do not roll up the sleeves, causing the upper arm muscles to be squeezed, making the measurement results inaccurate
③ The cuff is moderately tight and should not be too tight. It is best to leave a gap between two fingers.
④ The connection between the inflatable tube and the cuff is facing the midline of the elbow
⑤ The lower edge of the cuff is two horizontal fingers away from the elbow fossa
⑥ Measure at least two times at home, with an interval of more than one minute, and calculate the average value of the two measurements with similar results.
⑦Measurement time suggestion: 6:00 am to 10:00 am, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm (these two time periods are the two peaks of blood pressure fluctuations in a day, and it is easier to capture abnormal blood pressure)
